I have been working in two directions, which upon first examination may seem like polar opposites: dance and machinery. However, the two subjects intrigue me for almost the same reasons: the "dance" of pure form, and the rhythm of progressive shapes.
The analogies can be taken further, such as the body being a machine of sorts, and machinery being an extension of, as well as an imitation of our bodies.
I enjoy these excursions into worlds I don't normally visit. Both dance and machinery open my mind to stories, places and forms that speak deeply to me.
I am beginning to sense the feminine and masculine energies that underlie everything and how these polarities inform my orientation in this world.
